Nataline Lomedico’s Work/Life Balance

We were all thrilled to see our chief executive officer and president, Nataline Lomedico, featured this week in the Los Angeles Business Journal. The article discusses the challenges she has overcome in not only being a working mother of four children, including two young boys, but also those of starting off right out of school as a young controller in a male-dominant industry.  Read the entire article here.

Nataline Lomedico took on her new role this past January, succeeding Anne-Merelie Murrell, who has performed since that transition as our chairman of the board. In her previous roles as treasurer, controller and chief financial officer, Nataline was responsible for all financial aspects of Giroux since 2000.

Nataline’s entire career has been in the construction industry in finance and accounting roles. Over the past 24 years, she has held mostly executive level positions. Additionally, all of her management and executive experience has been within the construction industry, varying from specialty subcontractors, home builders, and general contractors.

“I started working in the construction industry in 1990 while attending college. I have only ever worked in construction, it’s the one industry I know, inside and out. I landed in construction by accident. I was looking for a company that was willing to work around my college class schedule – and it just so happened that the company that could was in construction,” says Nataline.

Nataline is committed to growing Giroux’s status as one of the nation’s most successful glazing contractors through her commitment to cutting-edge technology, top-quality service, customer satisfaction and nurturing Giroux’s strong culture of ownership.

She also believes strongly that good mentors are critically important, and instills mentoring as a practice among Giroux partners as well. Nataline reminisces, “Mentorship has had a tremendous impact on my career. I am convinced that I would not have remained in the construction industry if it were not for one particular great mentor, David Morales. He helped me develop my strengths, face my fears by encouraging me to be courageous, and gave me the necessary tools to work on my weaknesses. Over the years, I thanked him several times. He is someone I will always hold close to my heart.

All of us here at Giroux Glass hold Nataline close to our own hearts, and are proud to call her our leader. She provides business savvy, leadership, passion and is a constant source of inspiration. Keep watching the wonderful things that will come our way, with this wife, mother and chief executive officer leading our team.
