Giroux Glass Opens Arizona Location

Arizona is one of the fastest-growing construction markets in the country. In 2018, the Southwestern state was ranked first in the nation for construction-related projects, with 3.7% of its total GDP coming from the industry (ENR). Employment in the field of construction grew by 10.2%, more than three times the state’s average employment growth rate of 3.2% (OEO). Though statistics for 2019 are not yet widely available, growth has been projected to continue through 2020 (Beach Fleischman).

According to the article “5 of Arizona’s Biggest Construction Projects in 2019,” some of the state’s largest construction projects include the massive Desert Diamond West Valley Resort and Casino, The Ritz Carlton Paradise Valley Resort in Scottsdale, and the brand new Gilbert Regional Park, a multi-phase public recreation concept serving Phoenix and greater Maricopa County. These three represent a tiny handful of the commercial, residential, and public facilities being planned for across the state.

With so many projects on the horizon, Arizona was a natural fit for a Giroux Glass expansion. Where there is new construction, there is need for glass and metal facades, and our company has a stalwart reputation for providing top-of-line glazing and facade services for projects large and small – from enormous curtain walls for large office buildings to intricately crafted installations for private residences.

Arizona Operations GM Marty McKinley sums up our expansion nicely: “with all of the work that’s here, ultimately what GCs want most is to work with reliable subs who provide quality work, and do what they promise. I’m so excited to deliver all that and more here, in this market, with a company like Giroux, given our reputation and longevity.” Marty is teamed up with Giroux Project Manager Duane Stanley, who has been servicing the Arizona market for 5 years.  Together, they are focused on building the most talented team in Arizona, and, above all, providing the best possible service on every project.

On a personal note, McKinley is excited to play a direct role in the transformation of the Arizona skyline. “I’m an early bird, and nothing excites me more when heading to work at sunrise than to see the silhouette of so many tower cranes along the Phoenix horizon.  There’s a lot of work here, and I look forward to extending Giroux’s current partnerships into this new territory, and to expanding my own relationships on behalf of this excellent company.”

Giroux Glass C.E.O. Nataline Lomedico is also looking forward to expanding Giroux Glass’ trusted legacy into a new market. “Having a local presence [in Arizona] helps us diversify the work that we do in the regions that we service; it allows us to cross-market while continuing to go over and beyond for our existing client base.”

Our Arizona Headquarters, located in Phoenix, are officially open for business.

We look forward to serving you.
