Giroux Glass CEO, Nataline Lomedico, Represents the Middle Market at White House

Giroux Glass’ CEO Nataline Lomedico  was an honored guest, invited to attend the “Middle Market Executive Fly-In,” at the White House last week.

Hosted by the National Center for the Middle Market and The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, a select group of less than one dozen U.S. middle market CEOs traveled to Washington D.C. from across the country to represent a wide scope of industries, from glass and metal contracting and full-service trucking to contract security services and plastics and chemical solutions.

The goal of the National Center for the Middle Market is to ensure the vital middle market receives the attention it deserves. The Center provides a voice and point-of-view for this critical, yet understudied, segment of the economy, driving a national dialogue about its importance and impact. Through this new “Executive Fly-In” concept, the hope is that exchanges such as these will enable administration officials to hear issues that business people face in their own companies and workforce, particularly from a market segment that has not had much of a voice in the past.

Nataline is certainly a wonderful choice to represent the voice of the middle market construction industry. With over 25 years experience in construction finance, it was one of the key reasons that she was selected to represent the middle market in Washington, D.C. for our industry.

“I was honored to be chosen for this event, both for the personal experience and for the opportunity to share common issues that exist across different industries.  One highlight for me was that while we were meeting at the Old Ebbitt Grill (restaurant), I actually saw President Obama pass by, surrounded by the Secret Service. It’s certainly not something you see everyday! I still can’t believe it and feel so proud that Giroux was invited to represent Middle Market Companies at the Eisenhower Executive Office.”
