ENR Names Giroux Glass in Top 600 Specialty Contractors for 2022

Coming in at  #345 on the “Top 600 List of Specialty Contractors, 2022,” Giroux Glass is poised for an outstanding 2023 fiscal year. The company was ranked ninth in the nation within the Glazing and Curtain Wall specialty niche, among over 19,000 glaziers. This represents one rank level higher than last year, when Giroux Glass placed tenth overall in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR’s) national list of glaziers.

Giroux’s CEO and president, Nataline Lomedico, was interviewed about current industry challenges. Giroux Glass has been seeing its largest bottlenecks in changes of scope, long material lead times and shipment delays. “We have addressed the issues, and continue to address them with open and ongoing communication with project teams,” she explains, adding, “Open communication improves relationships. Relations are always improved when inviting all to the table to work collaboratively early on and throughout the process of a project. The more we work together to educate and inform, the stronger our relationships. A team approach is always best.”

When asked about how supplier relationships changed as Giroux worked to improve certainty and access to materials,  Nataline replied. “As a 76-year-old company, Giroux Glass is fortunate to have long and strong relationships with our key vendors. We also keep open and ongoing lines of communication so that we can work as a team to get materials as quickly as possible.”

We Aim to Exceed Our Customer Expectations

Giroux Glass strategically invests in people development at all levels of our business. Like many other Top 600 firms, one of our long-term goals remains to exceed our customer expectations while providing career opportunities within the organization and our entire glazing community — companies that can grow and retain talent will prove to be successful in the current labor market.

From our field personnel to office workers, everyone contributes to our success. Our commitment to cultivating long-term careers contributes to our award-winning projects. And, despite the tight labor market, being 100% employee-owned allows us to consistently deliver high-quality work year-after-year, with employees who each share a personal stake in company success.

Top 600 firms are reporting that their challenges are consistent through the construction industry, with some differences depending on subcontractor specialty. Increasing costs, rising risks and scarcity of skilled workers to keep projects on track are top of mind for most company leaders, but firms like Giroux Glass are learning to work smarter using our resources to manage expectations and complete projects on time.
