COVID-19 Partitions for Wynn Corporate HQ

The Wynn is widely regarded as one of the best hotels in Las Vegas — no small feat, considering the city boasts roughly 38 hotels on its famed Strip, alone. A huge part of what makes the resort and casino such a first-class operation is its devoted, hard-working staff.

When the hotel closed to help minimize spread of COVID-19, it also extended paid leave to its employees to protect their health and safety. Now, with hotels and casinos sanctioned to open to the public as of June 4th, both hotel and corporate office staff can return to business as (mostly) usual, with new protocols and amended work spaces in place.

To prepare for a safe return to work, Wynn’s corporate headquarters called on Giroux Glass to install social distancing partitions between employees’ desks in several offices. Our team of glaziers created and installed partitions to function as transparent cubicles, helping to reduce the spread of airborne germs while maintaining the open feel of the office space. The partition designs were custom-designed to fit into and protect each unique work space.

Though the job came together quickly, it required a substantial amount of skill and problem-solving to execute. The project required partitions to be installed in a variety of workstations without disturbing or damaging existing office furniture. To accommodate the varied dimensions and arrangements of each station, field superintendent Jesse Grubbs designed custom partition systems with the help of the fabrication team, who brought the vision to life. The systems took 3-4 days to build and install on each of several Wynn office locations. Kudos to the entire crew for their dedicated and efficient work.
