Our Service team tackles some of the most diverse (and delicious-smelling) projects of any of our Giroux Glass installation and fabrication teams. One of our latest projects took us to Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse in San Jose, CA, where our team of Union glaziers (Ruben Hernandez, Dominique Castillo, and Steven Perez) were on-site for a full work week to install glass and channel at the restaurant. In a previous blog post in March, I announced our involvement on the AECOM signage project at One California Plaza, in Downtown Los Angeles. After boarding up 38 window openings, our scope was to install 38 replacement lites of Viracon-supplied, high-performance glass with holes which would allow anchor points to protrude from the building. These holes were carefully positioned to hang two large “AECOM” signs, created by Priority Sign, (a fellow ESOP company), that would rest 42-storeys up on the North and East elevations of the building. If You’re Looking for a Sign …

Here’s one! This company isn’t a stranger to projects perched precariously atop some of the city’s tallest skyscrapers.  In fact, this year marks Giroux Glass, Inc.’s 70th anniversary of service being performed to Downtown Los Angeles commercial buildings. Teams of our incredibly brave and skillful glaziers have spent months dangling from the tops and edges of high-rises such as the Deloitte Gas Company Tower, the Paul Hastings Tower, and the tallest building in the western hemisphere (for now), the US Bank Tower.
