I’m happy and so proud to share that the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) has deemed Giroux Glass, Inc. the 83rd “Fastest Growing Private Company” in Los Angeles County.
Earlier this month, I attended a cocktail reception hosted by LABJ at City Club LA, to learn of our company’s rank out of the 100 companies being honored that evening.
It’s a big deal to me to be recognized as a company that is still growing and reaching new heights, especially considering our history of tremendous growth. When Anne-Merelie Murrell purchased Giroux Glass, Inc. in 1991, the company generated less than $1 million annually. In 2009, the company generated approximately $76 million and grew to 450 employees.
Now that we are majority employee-owned, it is important for us to see continued growth as employee-owners. This year, we saw a 34-percent revenue growth since our previous record, and the year prior, we had grown 39.1-percent. We are consistently listed as a Top 50 Glazier (Glass Magazine and USGlass Magazine), a Top 20 Firm in Glazing and Curtain Wall (ENR), and a Great Place to Work, among others. I am proud of what this team has accomplished and am confident that there is more expansion, growth, and advancement headed our way. What a wonderful start to our new fiscal year!
