Celebrating our Giroux Glass Las Vegas Field Team

On Saturday, April 9, our Las Vegas team took time to show our local glaziers the company’s well-deserved appreciation. Management invited the entire glazing team, along with their significant others, to attend a lunch that took place at an Italian restaurant in Summerlin. About 50 glaziers and guests showed up for a celebration that included a multi-course, customized meal served, (most appropriately), “family style.”

Greg Wright, vice president of operations, Las Vegas, said, “It’s not often during the course of our busy projects that we get the chance to stop and tell our hard-working team just how grateful we are for all that they do — day in, day out.  They go the extra mile on a regular basis, and we want them to know how much we appreciate their efforts.”

From time to time, project managers will treat the field crews to surprise on-site treats, like breakfast burritos or pizzas delivered over lunchtime, but this was intended to be more than that. Holding it on a weekend meant that it was time dedicated specifically to celebrating our glaziers’ efforts and accomplishments, with enough free time on a weekend to relax and enjoy each other’s company, and to include their families.

In addition to Jesse and Greg, other key management team members attended as well, including project executive Jessica Castillo, and CEO and president, Nataline Lomedico, who flew in from Los Angeles for the event.

Jesse Grubbs, superintendent Nevada operations, heard from many who attended the event that they had a great time and appreciated the sentiments expressed.  Field foreman, Aaron Herman, said, “It was great to come together with friends and family to enjoy an afternoon with good laughs and great food!” Art Mortenson, field foreman, offered his own positive feedback, “I was happy to share a table with Greg and get to know him better, and it’s always nice to see Nataline.  The food was excellent and the company was event better.  I had a great time.”

“This really did feel more like a family event,“ said Nataline, “it was informal and fun. I was so glad to be there to check in with the guys personally, and to connect with them one-on-one, when they’re not busy on a job site.  They perform amazing, high quality work for us on such a diverse array of projects. We were happy to reinforce to them all that we could not do what we do without their wonderful work.”
