The year 2021 marks a major milestone for Giroux Glass, Inc: our 75th year of operation. Founded in Los Angeles in 1946 by glazier, Louis Giroux, our company has shifted, evolved, and expanded exponentially to meet the needs of an increasingly dynamic world. What began as a small glass repair and service shop with a staff of seven has grown into a high-level commercial glazing operation with six offices across three states, a roster of world-class clients, and nearly 300 employees who work hard to make every year better than the one before.
We are immensely grateful for and proud of our longevity as a company, and plan to celebrate with a number of festivities throughout the course of 2021. We might even throw in a few surprises for good measure. So what can you expect from Giroux Glass in our 75th year? Here are a few things to watch for:
Special Edition Giroux Glass Logo
You may have already noticed the updated logo on our website. In addition to decorating our online hub, this special 75th anniversary logo will appear for the duration of the year in our employees’ email signatures, as a background for our virtual meeting platforms, and atop letterheads and various forms of marketing collateral.
Another place to look? Check out the hard hats of our crews in the field. Special stickers with the colorful logo will soon appear throughout our job sites, keeping it top of mind for our field workers, as well as anyone else looking at our glaziers or the sides of our trucks. It may even make an appearance on some special anniversary swag…
History in the Making: 75 Years of Excellence E-Book
In the coming weeks, we’ll be publishing a comprehensive company history book filled with facts, figures, photos, and employee anecdotes that paint a picture of the essence of our company. While the book will be made available in print in limited quantities, we’ll also be sharing an interactive e-book with our wider community.
‘My Giroux’ Interview Series
Throughout the year, we’ll be sharing interviews with our longest-tenured employees about their experiences working at Giroux Glass. From funny stories to proudest achievements, these short featurettes will share insights into what it means to be a “Girouxian.”
Virtual and (potentially) non-virtual events
Though COVID-19 is forcing us to take a “wait and see” approach to in-person festivities, we’ll still find plenty of ways to celebrate in the meantime. Stay tuned for games, contests, and other fun activities we can enjoy together, while physically apart. It may be a highly unusual year for all of us, but it’s hard to suppress the level of pride that everyone, especially our employee owners, feels over reaching such a milestone.
