100% Union Labor Used on the Chumash Casino Resort Expansion

The Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, CA is undergoing construction to fulfill an expansion program that will increase the property by 215 hotel rooms, 584 parking spaces, a 20,000-square-foot pool deck, gaming floor space (of which Giroux Glass was involved) and other amenities to make room for more visitors.

The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians set to use a 100% Union labor force to complete the expansion. The tribe is very dedicated to providing jobs to local businesses and Unions. Tribal Chairman Vincent Armenta said, “It’s a win-win for us to work with a talented team of union workers and also give the local economy a much-needed boost.” The larger hotel is projected to create roughly 250 new jobs and increase tourism to the Valley.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”430″ img_size=”300×250″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”431″ img_size=”300×250″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”432″ img_size=”300×250″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Giroux Glass’ part in the project included installation of graphic film in the interior High Limit slot area of the new building. I had the pleasure of coordinating a two-sided application of film on windows throughout the area, which was actually quite complex. Our team worked feverishly over one weekend to get the film installed after the original installer had backed-out of the project last minute, leaving us with very few options.

To see what the High Limit room looked like just before the film was installed by our team, watch the video below, provided by Chumash Casino.

This is just another example that showcases the great vendor-supplier relationships which help move us forward.

Thank you to those at Giroux Glass who helped make this project possible: Daniel Rodriguez, Greg Wright, Cathy Wright,[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
