Tru by Hilton Las Vegas Airport Hotel

Tru Hotel, Las Vegas. Windows, louvers, entry doors, shower doors by Giroux Glass.

We are proud to say that we worked on a beautiful new hotel in Las Vegas with a completely different concept, aimed affordably at the young-at-heart. Tru by Hilton has recently opened a new location near McCarran International Airport. The 166-room hotel is currently the largest to operate under this new Hilton brand,  and is the eighth one to open in the U.S., one of the 470 planned in the future.

Carpenters-theme graphics preside over the lobby.

What I find really interesting is that this hotel is owned by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, and is  located conveniently next to the Carpenters’ Union Campus. That affiliation is made very clear with the bright lobby graphics (see photo) that are a part of this bold-colored, energetic overall design.
Working with general contractor Marnell Companies,  part of our scope  included installing the bi-parting sliding entry door, and the suppliers were ASSA ABLOY  for both sets of interior doors, and Exterior Besam SL500 Bi-parting sliding doors for the exterior at the hotel’s front entrance.

Close proximity to the Carpenters’ Campus can be seen through the windows of the lobby.

We also installed the window systems which  included the windows units and louvers under the windows. Arcadia supplied the storefront system for all of the exterior windows and the louvers.  Glasswerks supplied glass type for the first floor of 1” IG units,  SNR43 on Crystal Grey Temp, ½” air,  ¼” clear temp Black Frit,  SN2439 Silkscreen Ceramic Frit #3, 1/8” dots on ¼” centers 40% coverage. For the tower, Glasswerks provided glass type of  1” IG units, ¼” SNR43 on Crystal Grey temp, ½” air, ¼” clear temp SNR43  temp.
Our interior installation work also included the shower doors in nearly all of the rooms: in 156 rooms, we installed 3/8” clear temp glass, supplied by Trulite, and Geneva hinges and B/B towel bars by CRL Hardware.
I worked with such a great team on this project! Thanks very much to: Brian Burton; Dave Martin; Musa Uthman; Jason Wagner; John Smith and Scott Herman. I’m especially grateful for all that Mike Heimlich and Jonathan (“Junior”) Perez did to help make this project run smoothly.
