That’s a Wrap: BOMA’s 2015 Expo in Review

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In 1946 when Giroux Glass began, our Service Division was the first department to offer its services in Los Angeles. Now nearly 70 years after its opening, the department has cultivated an extensive project history with clients such as Universal Studios, LAX, Kaiser Permanente, UCLA, USC, and many other businesses throughout SoCal.

Beyond its involvement in an exciting array of projects, our department has participated in many tradeshows and expositions over the years, including the Every Building Conference and Expo hosted annually by BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association). In fact, we were recently exhibitors at this year’s event, which took place June 28th—30th, 2015 at the LA Convention Center.
For me, personally, it was my first time working a booth at this particular Expo, and I was interested to see what type of people I would meet there and how the event was going to be organized.
It was a great time being able to interact with new people, catch up with current customers, and learn even more about our fast-paced industry. One of the days, we had a number of people stop at our booth to tell us that they love our glass cleaner giveaways so much, that after ten plus years of having discovered it, they still remember Giroux Glass on the label.  They were visibly excited to see our booth and to restock their supply after all these years.
I also found that the Expo was useful for our Service Division—I made connections I didn’t think I would make, and had many opportunities to share about our company and our brand. For example, our team was able to stop and chat with Richard Ludt of IRS Demo, Michael Garza of Brookfield Properties, and other long-time industry friends. The networking reception Monday evening was another great platform for connecting with the hundreds of people and businesses present. The food was great, the music was awesome, and the car show was a lot of fun.

Surely they help with brand recognition and association, but you never know how we may end up being of service to each other down the line.

If you met us at the show or would simply like to keep in touch with us, I encourage you to sign up for our company newsletter by clicking on the link. Continued providing of service, after 69 years, and relationship-building still excites us![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
