Bird’s Eye View from a Really Big Piece of Glass

Black’s Beach is a secluded section of beach beneath the bluffs of Torrey Pines on the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla, San Diego, CA. The location of this recent Giroux Glass High-End Design project made for particularly scenic footage of our Union glazing crew hoisting a 1,000-pound piece of glass to prepare it for installation. One of our glaziers, Monico Gonzalez, cleverly mounted his GoPro to the glass as it swung over the rooftop of this stunning location.

Black’s Beach and Torrey Pines presents an interesting problem for our crews to solve in that access to this area is very limited and contains mostly very narrow roadways. We’ve had to get creative in our transportation of material and crew to this location. But in the end it makes for some fun video!
