Tru by Hilton Las Vegas Airport
In early 2018, Tru by Hilton Las Vegas Airport opened this hotel located next to the McCarran International Airport and about three miles from the Vegas Strip.
Owned by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC), the six-floor, 166-room Tru hotel is also located steps from the UBC’s International Training Center, a contemporary facility that spans over more than one million square sq. ft. The colorful lobby mural recognizes the UBC, one of North America’s largest building-trades unions, with a half-million members in the construction and wood-products industries.
Built to meet the needs of carpentry trainees and area tourists, the Tru Hotel by Hilton offers accommodations unlike most other hotels along the Las Vegas Strip. This project was the eighth property in this brand that builds hotels from new construction. They focus on shared spaces, each featuring a spacious lobby with a social media wall, breakfast bar, a 24/7 food market, and state-of-the-art fitness centers.
Designed and constructed by Marnell Companies, Giroux Glass provided all the glazing on this project, with an exterior scope that included windows, glass and louvers, exterior and interior vestibule automatic doors and exterior doors/hardware, and the exterior storefront system, while the Interior work consisted of shower doors in each room, and mirrors in the fitness center.
