Community Regional Medical Center, North Medical Plaza
Community Regional Medical Center is a campus of twenty medical buildings, with a diverse assortment of outpatient and inpatient services. McCarthy Building Companies enlisted Giroux Glass to complete all glazing on the new construction of the North Medical Plaza, situated on the Northeast side of campus. The $48 million project was completed in January 2018.
To accommodate future growth and allow medical office buildings the possibility to expand the courtyard, architects at SmithGroupJJR designed the North Medial Plaza’s footprint in an L-shape. The five-story, 184,000-sq. ft. building houses three outpatient clinics along with office spaces for private practices and academic occupants. It’s the site for dozens of specialties including a diabetes education program and child-friendly, clinic space for pediatrics.
This was an extensive project that included the installation of curtain wall, storefront, storefront doors, aluminum sunshades, louvers, automatic entrance, fire-rated glass, lead glass, and punched windows. The completed project was an attractive and modern addition to the expansive medical facility.
