Allegiant Stadium
Allegiant Stadium, located near the renowned Las Vegas Strip, is a global events destination and an architectural marvel. Since its completion in 2021, it has become the home of the NFL team, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) college football team. With a seating capacity of up to 73,000, the technologically advanced stadium offers a fully enclosed and climate-controlled environment, ensuring a comfortable experience for visitors.
The stadium’s construction represented a highly anticipated alliance, resulting in a state-of-the-art facility that combines architectural excellence, innovative technology, and ten levels of premium space. Architect of record, HNTB, design architect Manica Architecture, and Arup collaborated with project manager, CAA Icon, and Mortensen & McCarthy Joint Venture (MMcJV) to bring this unique stadium to life.
A world-class venue, Allegiant Stadium offers impressive features. The facility encompasses 1.8 million sq. ft. that includes a retractable natural turf field for NFL games, and an artificial turf for UNLV games. The stadium’s design incorporates 75,000 sq. ft. of video boards and large operable walls that provide stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip. Its translucent roof spans seven acres and is composed of ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, (ETFE), supported by a cable net truss system with one hundred stainless steel cables.
Allegiant Stadium not only serves as a home for football but is also a host venue for outstanding entertainment. The stadium also stages concerts and special sporting events.
Giroux’s scope on the Allegiant Stadium project work included interior curtain wall, mirrors wrapping columns, mirrors on ceilings, Sensitile LED mirrors, interior frameless glass entrances, custom-print laminated glass, glass wall panels in suites, a sliding glass partition wall in the owner’s suite, black mirrors throughout common areas and in the suites, aluminum/glass doors, all-glass doors, sliding doors and transaction windows.
