Oppenheimer Tower
10880 Wilshire, also known as “The Oppenheimer Tower,” this 1970 office building was renovated in 2020 to update its appeal and upgrade its amenities. Twenty-four stories tall and comprising 588,935 sq. ft., the structure is in the heart of Westwood, within easy walking distance to University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the theatres, shops, and restaurants of vibrant Westwood Village.
This tenant improvement project included re-configuring interior spaces and repositioning exterior landscaping to accentuate the architectural design of the building. Exterior design alterations included adding a signature, cascading water feature to create motion and pleasing sounds, along with redesigned, lush landscaping, and a refurbished entrance with a modernized lobby. The building is ENERGY STAR Certified by the EPA, and it has a fully integrated energy management system for optimal efficiency and comfort.
Giroux Glass’ role in the transformation focused on the entrance and lobby areas. Our glazing installations included a new storefront system with glass fins, and all-glass doors. These upgrades successfully added a sleek, modern look to the contemporary style, and significantly brightened the space by maximizing the amount of natural light to pass through the frameless floor-to-ceiling glass installations.
