T-Mobile “Showcase” Store, Las Vegas, NV

The Las Vegas Strip’s new T-Mobile store, located less than a mile away from their new arena, is not your typical neighborhood electronics store. T-Mobile’s first two-story, signature-style space serves as a vibrant, nightclub-esque showcase for the company, complete with a virtual reality display, photo booth, juice bar, and concierge ticket desk, among other features. The 9,000 square-foot space inside Showcase mall (best known for the Coca-Cola bottle and M&M characters which embellish the Strip), replaced the Grand Canyon Experience gift shop, purchased by the Nakash family in 2014 and 2015. T-Mobile and the numerous construction teams involved, including Giroux [...]

Giroux Glass at the Heart of the City 5k 2018

Good Times at the Heart of the City!

We had the pleasure of participating, for the fourth year in a row, in a fun and healthy annual event: the “Heart of the City” 5-K Walk/Run which took us through the (for once, empty!) streets of Downtown Los Angeles on March 24th. The event was organized by and benefits the California Hospital Medical Center, situated right in the center of Downtown LA, and also the location of the start/finish line. Giroux Glass assembled a team of participants who represented all of our locations, including Las Vegas, San Bernardino, and Fresno. Thanks to our sole runner, George Wiriadinata (who finished with a time [...]

Equinox Wilshire Giroux Glass Service Project

Glass Replacement at Equinox

Sometimes the most seemingly clear-cut, conventional tasks often don’t turn out to be (as I’m sure you’re well aware!). Recently, what began as a simple glass replacement, became a wonderful opportunity to reflect on many aspects of the glass and glazing industry. Recently, Giroux Glass hosted Sarah, a local high-school student and recipient of NAWIC-LA’s Girls in STEM Scholarship, for a day of touring around our Los Angeles headquarters and a nearby jobsite, and observing the daily duties of project managers, estimators, and CAD technicians. Our first stop of the day was at Equinox Westwood, where our Service team was [...]

Giroux Glass Picnic in the Park

Every summer for the last several years, Giroux Glass partners have gathered with their families and friends for a picnic in the park, to celebrate summer and enjoy each other’s company! This summer, partners from our Los Angeles-based office enjoyed a fun afternoon together at Don Knabe Community Regional Park in Cerritos, CA. Kudos to our Culture Committee for organizing the event beautifully. The party was complete with a catered BBQ lunch, prize raffles, games of ladder toss, volleyball, basketball, and more. Most of all, it enabled our friends and families to catch up on each other’s lives, and in [...]

Giroux Glass World's Largest Chocolate Fountain at the Bellagio Las Vegas, NV

The Giroux Glass Project that Broke a World Record

Did you know that the largest chocolate fountain in the world is located on Nevada’s opulent Las Vegas Strip? In April 2008, Guinness World Records announced that it became the largest chocolate fountain in the world— and that record still holds today! The fountain measures over 26-feet tall and circulates 2-tons, or 4,409-pounds, of chocolate at a rate of 120-quarts per minute. It is displayed at the Jean Philippe Pâtisserie in the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s the only Giroux Glass project that holds a world record today; although it is not the only project to win [...]

Restoration of LA’s Ford Theatre is Complete

For decades, the rejuvenated John Anson Ford Amphitheatre has supported artists representing music and dance styles reflective of LA County, from Celtic dance numbers to musical sing-alongs. Ever evolving, Ford Theatre has been undergoing further renovation, featuring state-of-the art sound equipment and space for performers, with impressive architecture and design elements to match. Giroux Glass is proud to be a part of the unique glass design that will serve as the next exciting facade to this 97-year-old LA County treasure – born, discovered, buried, rediscovered, and finally in center stage. Project manager Bruce Johnson and superintendent Kelly Edwards recently toured our Marketing team around the venue, [...]
